Here’s my Friday Florida Bites. Not enough to make a meal out of, but enough to wet the appetite. Enjoy!

  • Can you believe that folks want to hunt Sandhill Cranes? That’s what Space Coast Beach Buzz is blogging about.
  • As if you needed me to say this, “It was freezing in Florida in December.” Actually, Go Hydrology and Danny Valentine back up my uneducated thought.
  • I’ve enjoyed them. Have you? I’m talking about Florida’s oranges. In fact, they’re doing better this year than last when freezing weather hit them hard!

  • Florida Beach Basics

    thanks for the mention – regarding the sandhill crane hunting issue, according to friend Vickie, she will be ready to say her part at the meeting in Nashville on January 20. The decision will be made after that meeting probably same day or day after. She will let us know how it all turns out, and I'll post on it.

    Hey Alan. I thought the Sand Hill crane was on the endangered species list? I know that at the bird sanctuary south of Sacramento, they shoot you, if you look cross eyed at one.

    When I was a kid, we had an orange tree in the back yard. I used to eat them until my lips were raw from the acid.
